There’s absolutely no use travelling to a place, if you’re not going to try some of the local foods.
I sometimes get the feeling that Berliners aren’t really into the idea of any other German city. When you ask them where to visit, they suggest London over Leipzig, although if pushed, you can usually get ‘Hamburg, Freiburg, Dresden’ out. Andy uses the word parochial, but he is pretentious….

Just a quick post to update you on the new place.
In a rather fantastic turn of international shuffleboard, two of our great friends from Perth (actually who I knew since lower school!) have arrived for a two year stay in Amsterdam.
Aside from the business of ‘renovating’ our old and new apartments, the last few weekends have also been filled with visits from some of our favourite people in the world.
Those of you who are in the know already know, but those of you who aren’t in the know would like to know no? Andy and I are moving to the Big City.
